Growler [grou – ler] : small icebergs that rise only about 3 feet out of the water, with an exceedingly larger portion of ice beneath the waterline. When trapped air escapes as the ice melts, it sometimes makes the sound of an animal growling – thus how they got the name “Growlers.”
The Growler Kölsch is a twist on the classic Kölsch from Cologne, having a crisp malty flavor and subtle refreshing notes of German hops. But don’t let it’s light color fool you – the flavor runs deep and is more complex than meets the eye. As a lagered ale, this beer maintains the flavor of an ale, but also has a clean refreshing lager finish. The best of both worlds!
Hops: Noble German Hops
Malts: Pilsner, Carapils, White Wheat
