Bowditch American Pale Ale
Bowditch [bou-dich] : An early American mathematician and ship’s master, Nathanial Bowditch (1773-1838) wrote the extremely significant celestial navigation book, “The American Practical Navigator.” His goal was to put down in the book nothing he couldn’t teach the crew. To this day, the text remains so profound that mariners refer to it simply as “Bowditch” and a copy is used by every navigator.
Our Bowditch American Pale Ale is well balanced by using U.S. malts and hops. The malted barley provides a caramel biscuity aroma and slightly sweet taste, while a combination of three different hops balance the flavor and aroma with smooth bitterness and hints of citrus and pine.
Hops: Apollo, Willamette, Perle
Malts: 2-Row Pale, Carapils, Munich, C-60
