You Asked, We Answered

Where can I buy your beer?

You can always come to the Escutcheon Taproom to taste all of our brews! Or, if you’re out and about, check Beer Finder to see where we’re on tap.

Can I book a private event?

Surely! Just give us a ring at 540.773.3042 or email info@escutcheonbrewing.com for more info!

More information can be found on the private events page.

How do I contact you?

You can either email us through our Contact Page or stop by our Taproom during business hours!

Do you serve food?

While we don’t serve food onsite, you are welcome to bring in your own food or snacks. Outside beverages are not permitted.

Occasionally and when weather permitting, we partner with local food trucks to provide customers with a food option when the taproom is open. Please check Facebook for dates when food trucks will be here.

Can I get a tour of the brewery?

Hell yeah! We’ll give tours as often as we can, but please be patient if we’re helping others get their hands on some beer first! We try to accommodate guests on the spot, but the more notice you can give us, the more likely we can accommodate your needs. Please complete the form on our Brewery page to request a tour and tell us more about your group.

Are kids welcome?

For sure! We pride ourselves in offering a family-friendly environment. However, all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What’s the deal with crowlers?

We offer 32oz cans that can be filled with your favorite draft beer. Once the crowler is gassed and filled, it will keep (in a cold, dark place) for up to two weeks unopened. Once opened, enjoy right away. The tops are resealable, but won’t preserve the beer once it’s opened. Crowlers are recyclable, but not refillable. Fills are $8, but specialty beers might cost more so check with your server.

How much does a growler cost?

It costs $18 for a new 64oz growler, fill included. All fills after initial purchase are $13. Specialty beer fills in 64oz growlers vary by style and availability; see tap room staff for details.

What about growlers from other breweries?

As long as it’s clean, we will fill any 64oz growler. We do not fill or clean dirty growlers for you.

When can I get a growler fill?

Anytime we’re open.

How long is a growler fill good for?

We recommend that growlers be enjoyed within 24-72 hours of filling.  Keep filled growlers cold and dark.  Do not allow a filled growler to warm or freeze, as you risk the vessel shattering.

Can a crowler or growler be filled with nitro?

No, nitrogen won’t hold up in a growler/crowler.

What should I do once I’m finished with my growler?

Throw away the cap and clean the growler with hot water immediately after consumption. Soap may be used as long as it is not fat- or oil-based. Allow the growler to air dry. Do this, and your growler will be ready for a fresh fill whenever you are!

Can I bring my dog to the brewery?

Dogs are not allowed in the Escutcheon taproom with the exception of service dogs. We comply with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Food Safety Program.

Service dogs are defined as any dog that is individually trained to work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Dogs in training are not considered service animals-training must be complete. Work or tasks performed by the service animal must be specific actions directly related to the disability such as assisting with navigation, alerting to the presence of environmental stimuli, pulling a wheelchair, retrieving medicines or telephones, providing balance/stability support and assisting with seizures or disruptive behaviors.
